Michael S. Borders, Gary G. Peterson and Tami K. Schendt, all of Broken Bow, have submitted applications for appointment as County Judge in the 8th Jucicial District which consists of Blaine, Boyd, Brown, Cherry,Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Holt, howard, Keya Paha, Loup, Rock, Sherman, Valley, and Wheeler counties. The primary place of office for the judicial vacancy is Broken Bow NE.
The public hearing of the Judicial Nominating Commission will be held in the District Courtroom at the Custer county courthouse located in Broken Bow NE, beginning at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 12, 2012. The Commission will review all applicants for the office at that time.
The public is welcome to attend the hearing and present information concerning candidates for the Judicial opening. Persons, if any, wishing to publicly comment favorably on qualifications of the applicants should attempt to coordinate with the applicants. Public comments, if any, in opposition to the applicants will be received at the hearing.
