Adeline M. Adamek, 88, of Ord passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at the Valley View Living Center in Ord.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Fathers Tom Ryan and Mark Maresh will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the funeral on Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Altar Society. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Adeline was born on April 23, 1924, at Ord, Nebraska to Joe and Mary (Penas) Blaha. She attended rural school near Ord and graduated from Ericson High School in 1942.
After graduation she worked at a government office in Omaha for four years and then returned to Ericson. On May 17, 1949, she was united in marriage to L. Paul Adamek.
Mr. Adamek passed away in 1975. Adeline continued to work at several businesses in Ord and retired in 1986.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Altar Society and Ord V.F. W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include one brother, Eldon Blaha of California; three nephews; a niece and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a special friend, Neal Utterback.
