VCED-Ord Area Chamber of Commerce warns of counterfiet check scam

ORD, Neb. - Valley County Economic Development/Ord Area Chamber of Commerce sent out a letter to area businesses Wednesday, June 24th warning of a counterfeit payroll check scam.

The letter reads: Our office just received news from a local business that there is an individual from Bartlett that has been creating counterfeit payroll checks and cashing them at gas stations and grocery stores in the O'Neill and Norfolk areas. The checks are usually for the amount of $400-500
