Burwell, Neb. – The Burwell Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of the Road Rally 2010 and Chalk Art Competitions that were held as part of Summer Fun Daze 2010. A more beautiful day could not have been found to hold the Community BBQ along with the competitions. So without further adieu……….the winners please!
The Chalk Art competition was a great opportunity for young and old to display their artistic capabilities on the streets of Burwell. The winners were:
Ages 1-6
1st Place Isaac Bush
Ages 7-12
1st Place Shelby Kittle
2nd Place Grace Tetschner
3rd Place Sami O’Neal
Ages 13-18
1st Place Emily Tetschner
Ages 19 and above
1st Place Jen McBride
2nd Place Linda Fryzek
The Road Rally 2010 Competition winners were:
1st Place Team Wendy Alexander/Nancy Jeffres
2nd Place Team The Burwell Tribune
3rd Place Team Linda Mann and Family
Fifty percent of all entry fees were awarded to the 1st place winner ($55) and the remaining $55 donated to the Burwell Food Pantry. Also, the 2nd place team (Tribune) donated their $20 in Chamber Bucks to the Burwell Food Pantry.
