Comstock Country Festival Postponed

The Comstock Music Festivals Country Fest has been pushed back two months.

According to Bill Kann ,owner of the festivals, the purchase of the land has  pushed back the country concert festival until August 18th through the 20th.  It had been scheduled for June 2nd-5th.

Kann is purchasing more than 475 acres that includes the concert area, the campground and land across the road from Jim Trotter. According to The Grand Island Independent, and www.theindependent.com, Kann had trouble getting an appraiser out to the land where the Comstock concerts have been held since 2000.

The following post is from www.comstockorbust.com:

Comstock Music Festivals is currently working on some new and exciting things with its festival series. The festivals are under a new management regime which is currently in process of purchasing the entire plot of land on which the festival resides on. This enables management to bring to you an enhanced concert experience along with more freedom in entertainment and activities on the grounds. The Country Fest (June 2nd – June 5th) has been deferred to August 18th – August 20th, 2011. This is due to a delay in the anticipated funding for the Country Fest; causing a ripple effect that resulted in the festival being unable to meet the financial obligations to the Artists. Now with the funding source soon to be in place, management has seized a prime opportunity and additional time to ramp up the entire experience and magic that is Comstock!

Comstock Music Festivals is striving to bring the absolute best experience and entertainment to its fans. Management acknowledges and is extremely fortunate to have the support of all those who have purchased tickets to the festivals. As a courtesy Comstock Music Festivals has decided to show its appreciation to all of the current 2011 Country and Rock Fest ticket holders and provide them with an absolutely remarkable deal. All ticket holders have the option to return their ticket for a full reimbursement. Refunds will begin on June 24th. However, any ticket holders that decide to keep your ticket and use it for the Country Festival in August will not only have their tickets honored for that festival, but they will receive free admittance to either this year’s Rock Fest (August 12th – 14th, 2011) or the 2012 Country Fest. So, all 2011 ticket holders that continue their support will get 2 excellent festivals for one price!

Comstock Music Festivals is ecstatic about the entertainment lineup and activities that it is providing to its fans. We are excited and hope to see you in August and give back to our supporters with this one time only deal!
