Debit Card Scam

Local citizens have been receiving telephone calls informing them that their bank has deactivated their debit card, and the bank requires information from the customer to re-activate the card.

Be advised, these calls are fraudulent, and you should not provide any information to the caller. If you feel you may have provided information to the caller, please contact your bank for assistance in avoiding any unauthorized charges to you card. Again, never provide information concerning your account over the telephone.
