Hot and dry along with windy conditions are a concern for area farmers. Pivots  are in full use as we wait for rain during this dry spell. Gravity irrigating is another way to get water to crops, that so desperately needing water in the listening area.

The summer heat this week has forced farmers to irrigate their cornfields and soybeans. The weather forecast is calling for high temperatures in our listening area for the next few days along with gusty winds with a 40% chance of rain Friday night.
