Loup City, Neb. – Alcohol was a contributing factor in a boating fatality at Sherman County Reservoir on May 17, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, which has completed its investigation.
Bennie Wright, 34, of Loup City, was pronounced dead at the scene after the boat he was operating struck the dam at a high rate of speed. His blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit. The legal limit for operating a boat in Nebraska is .08.
The fatality is the second boating death in Nebraska this year.

why is it that no one has published anything about the weather at the time–extreme fog– the 27′ boat could hardly have been seen from the top of the dam or that the gps had had been receienlty calibrated or that the that boat had just been purchased and was new to the owner– also the blood alcohol level was a bit exaggerated and ” high rate of speed” also– don’t beleve everything to read and if you didn’t know he great man/father/husband- don’t think the worst because his family are the ones who must deal with this and all the negivity that is being published
