From Left to Right: Mark Jensen, JJ Johnnie James, Lynn Daily holding Flat Stanley, Lindsay Samp, Connie Greenland, Paul Harkness and Gene McCoy
A student in the first grade class at Leigh Elementary in Leigh NE sent Lynn Daily of KNLV radio a Flat Stanley recently. Flat Stanley is a paper cut out that the students in the class are using for a project to help them learn about new places. Steve and Kathy Rozmiarek (Rose-Mare-ek) contacted Lynn asking if she would mind helping out their son Kyle Scates age 7 with the project. Mrs. Kim Bruhn who teaches the 1rst grade class spoke with Lynn about the project. “We are learning how to locate our state and country, as well as other countries on maps and globes.” The class is taking on the task by mailing out Flat Stanleys and asking people to take a picture with him. KNLV was more than happy to help out Kyle and his class. Now Flat Stanley can say he has visited the Sandhills Giant of Ord NE at KNLV radio.

It’s very refreshing for a change to read a story on your website that is not covering the Cathy Beard old case. A story like this also let’s we the reader’s know that Lynn and everyone at knlv cares abput our children’s future and helping even in a small way. Great job all.
Dear Lynn & everyone at KNLV,
We would like to thank you so much for helping our bou Kyle and all his classmates to learn about our beautiful country in this very cool “Flat Stanley” kind of way!! Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks again~ Steve, Cathy & Kyle.
We are getting ready to do this project also. Kids love to see where Stanley goes.
