The Valley County Fair’s Tractor show has added something new this year. As in past years, Classic and antique tractors and machinery tractors will be on display this Sunday beginning at Noon in Bussell Park. However the tractors won’t just sit there looking pretty.
Beginning at 1 pm the tractors will also compete in what Dan Spilinek called fun tractor games. According to Spilinek, there will be several timed events including tractor barrel racing, tractor balance beam, ball-in-the-bucket, barrel push, a slow race where the slowest tractor wins and a combination tractor and running event. Sunday’s tractor show will be held in the football field parking lot at Bussell Park.
Spilinek said they hope this is the beginning of an event that grows bigger with time and he already has some other events in mind for future years. Spilinek also mentioned that the spectator bleachers for Sunday’s event will be located in the shade.
