The Burwell Rodeo Theatre Needs Your Help

Posted by Lynn Daily On March - 29 - 2012

The Rodeo Theatre in Burwell has not been able to show movies for the past two weeks due to a broken 35mm projector. It is not known if and when the theatre will be up and running as the cost for replacing the projector is about $70,000. The movie industry only offers movies in digital format and the costly replacement is the only answer for the theatre to reopen again. Donations are being requested to help purchase a new digital system for the Rodeo Theatre. Randy and Linda Gross have been operating the theatre. If the funding to purchase a new digital system is raised, moviegoers will experience significant benefits from the new digital technology. It will offer higher quality picture and sound and a broader selection of movies.

Contributions to the “Save the Rodeo Theatre Fund” can be made through accounts set-up and managed by Burwell Economic Development at the following financial institutions:

Great Western Bank, Burwell and Ord

Pathway Bank, Burwell and Ord

Ericson State Bank, Ericson

First National Bank, Ord and Sargent
