Posted by Johnnie James On October - 11 - 2010

The Valley County Health System officially opened its doors Monday, October 4, 2010.   If you have an appointment or need to make an appointment, please make sure you have your current insurance information on hand, as the new computer system is up and running and will be needing updated information for hospital admissions.  Please allow a little time for check in processes.  The number for the VCHS is (308) 728-4200.

Louis Wajda of Ord was one of the first surgery patients at the new hospital.  He had a carpal tunnel release by Dr. Lesiak on Oct. 7.

Tonja Peterson-Wendt was the first Rehabilitation Services patient who used the HydroWorx 2000 Aquatherapy pool.  Heidi Peterson, PT assists Tonja with the use of water dumbbells.  Photo: Jason Wendt
