Ainsworth Woman Faces Sentencing

Posted by The Associated Press On November - 24 - 2010

AINSWORTH, Neb. (AP) — A 40-year-old Ainsworth woman faces sentencing next month for seven counts of forgery and other convictions.

Court records say Bonnie Nickolite pleaded no contest to the seven felony counts last week. She also pleaded no contest to a felony count of abuse of a vulnerable adult and to a misdemeanor theft charge.

The records say Nickolite had forged checks written on the account of an employer and deposited them in her account at a different bank. The checks totaled nearly $3,500.

The abuse charge stems from another check written to obtain cash from a vulnerable adult.

Sentencing is set for Dec. 14.
