The Loup Valley Horse Conference is a volunteer organization that supports the 4-H Horse Program in Boone, Garfield, Greeley, Howard, Loup, Nance, Sherman, Valley and Wheeler Counties. They provide a number of shows for 4-H members in May and June each year. In addition, the conference sponsors one annual open horse show to generate funds for college scholarships offered to riders who are high school seniors. The 2012 open show will be held Sunday, September 9 at the fairgrounds in Ord, Nebraska.
The show begins at 9:00 a.m. with all conference classes offered, as well as several added “fun” classes. There will be five age groups: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-39; and 40 or over. For placing, riders will be awarded tokens which can be redeemed for a variety of prizes.
The public is invited to support the conference scholarship program by entering, riding and having a good time. For more information contact Jeanie Klanecky at 308-750-7504.
