The Sandhills Convention Center in North Platte, Nebraska will be the gathering spot for young leaders from across the state as they come together to participate in the 2012 Connecting Young Nebraskans (CYN) Summit. Scheduled for October 25 and 26, the two-day summit is designed to connect and empower young Nebraskans.
The keynote speaker, Peter Shankman, is an author, entrepreneur and worldwide connector who will share his innovative and nationally-recognized way of thinking about networking and how it applies to this group of young leaders.
The Summit will kick off at the Golden Spike Tower on Thursday, October 25 at 6 p.m. with a unique social that is designed for all fun-lovers. Participants will be able to choose from several activities, such as joining in laser tag, navigating a corn maze, or kicking back around a fire pit and enjoying an array of products from Nebraska’s wineries and breweries.
The Summit will continue on Friday, October 26 with coffee shop discussions, an excellent opportunity for networking, and dynamic professional, community and civic breakout sessions. Topics will cover a broad array, such as “Understanding How the Affordable Healthcare Act Will Affect Me,” “Non-Biased Political Information We All Hunger For,” “Creative and Smart Ways to Invest in Your Future” and much, much more.
CYN strives to enhance opportunities for young leaders to impact their communities through networking and learning experiences.
