Any person who allows a sprinkler irrigation system to spray or accumulate water onto or across a public road can, upon conviction, be found guilty of a Class IV Misdemeanor.
Further, you could be subject to a civil suit if you cause water from your system to spray the roadway resulting in an accident.
The Board of Supervisors would appreciate it if irrigators would please watch their systems and make every effort to avoid a potentially dangerous condition on our roads.
