The Burwell Municipal Airport is getting a much needed multi million dollar renovation. Paul Plock of the Burwell Airport authority spoke recently with KNLV about the project which began in April of this year. With the help of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics and the FAA a $2.4 million dollar grant is being used to widen and lengthen the runway. The runway will go from 600 feet to 3,800 feet and widen to 60 feet. They are also improving the area from obstructions. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of July or first part of august.
