Tonight, Friday, June 15 is the Burwell Chamber of Commerce Ag Appreciation Event. Here is the schedule of events:
· 12:00 PM – Blocking off of 8th Avenue south of the square to H Street (1 block) in order to move in seating/tables for the event (come out and help set-up if you can).
· 2:00 – Access to the southern portion of the square will be restricted starting about 2:00 PM to allow for placement of the stage and business displays.
· 5:00 – Serving of the BBQ meal will start (near the post office), as well as music entertainment and the silent auction for the Rodeo Theatre.
· 6:30 – Special entertainment begins with J.J. Johnnie James and Dave Thorell.
· 7:15 – Special presentations, including scholarship presentations, silent auction bid winners (bidding to cease about 7:20), sponsorship recognition, etc.
· 8:00 – General clean-up
· 9:00 – All roads re-opened (approximately)
