Bob Reilly, PA-C at Valley County Health System attended the Treatment and Rehabilitation of the Pediatric Trauma Patient Conference on June 8 in Omaha, NE. The sixth annual trauma conference was hosted by Children’s Hospital in Omaha.
Pediatric trauma care poses unique challenges to providers at all levels. This conference covered current pediatric-focused trauma management from pre-hospital care through discharge and ongoing health care concerns. A few of the conference objectives included discussing pain management strategies and delivery systems, identifying strategies for working with families who have experienced trauma, and illustrating the management of current issues in pediatric trauma through case studies.
