Carolie Evelyn Larsen, 79, of Burwell, Nebraska died January 5, 2013 at the Valley County Health Systems Hospital in Ord, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January, 8, 2013 at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell, Nebraska. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell. Pastor Dennis Davenport will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s.Carolie was born January 15, 1933 in Burwell, Nebraska to Colin and Marguerite (Olcott) Anderson.
Carolie graduated from Burwell High School in 1951. She went to college for two years and then taught school in the Burwell area.
Carolie married Jimmy Larsen on July 7, 1956 in Yuma, Arizona. They lived in Costa Mesa, California and San Juan Capistrano, California. Carolie was an executive secretary for a Civil Engineering firm.
Carolie and Jim moved to Burwell in October of 2012. She enjoyed sports, shopping and decorating her house.
Carolie is survived by her husband Jim Larsen of Burwell, Nebraska. A brother, Clayton and Margaret Anderson of Burwell, Nebraska and a sister Marilyn Chaffin of Lincoln, Nebraska. Two nephews, Scott Chaffin of Lincoln, Nebraska and Brian Chaffin of St. Paul, Minnesota and a niece, Paula Withrow of Kearney, Nebraska.
Carolie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Homer Anderson, two nephews, Mark Anderson and James Buchanan and a brother-in-law, Gerald Chaffin.
