Several businesses have informed the Chamber office that a salesperson claiming to be participating in a school fundraiser has been calling and asking for donations. The salesperson states the fundraiser is for footballs and pom poms but does not leave a name or a contact number. Ord High School has confirmed that this fundraiser is not legitimate and is not affiliated with the high school.
Additionally, a community member has informed us that she has been receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be a representative of Medicare. The person states they are needing to send her new cards and asks for her account information. She has received confirmation from Medicare that this is also a scam.
