Chamberlain College of Nursing is pleased to announce that The Master of
Science in Nursing-Executive Leadership degree was bestowed upon Cheryl
Christenson during commencement exercises in Saint Louis, Missouri on
October 26, 2012. Cheryl was honored at a reception for online students on
October 25, 2012 for her academic excellence. She was one of only three Master
candidates completing their studies with a 4.0 grade point average.
The Master of Science in nursing degree has prepared Cheryl to expand her
nursing leadership influence and strengthen the role of nursing in an ever
changing healthcare environment.
Cheryl is currently using her valuable experience as a Registered Nurse of 27
years and her education as a nurse leader in her position at Saint Francis
Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. She is currently a member of the
Magnet Recognition Committee, Unit Based Nursing Council and the Patient
Education Committee.
Cheryl would like to thank her family and friends for all their support as she
attained this degree, especially to Chris for all the sacrifices he made during
these last 2 years. Cheryl also thanks the PEO for their financial support
through their grant program. Cheryl was a former nurse at VCHS.
