Marguerite J. Miller, 87, of Ord passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Valley View Living Center in Ord.
Mrs. Miller’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of her life will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Glenda Pearson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Donor’s Choice. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Marguerite Johanna was born December 30, 1925, at Santa Barbara, California to Joseph O. and Augusts (Bentz) Graham. She was raised and attended school in Santa Barbara. She received Nurse Training at St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Tucson, Arizona.
On July 17, 1948, Peggy was united in marriage to Robert D. Miller at Ord, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Ord where they spent their entire married life. Peggy worked in various nursing positions over the years including Director of Nursing at Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Peggy was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed gardening.
She is survived two grandsons, Taylor and Casey Miller both of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert in June of 2007; her son, David Miller; and a brother, Joseph Graham.
