The Valley County Philanthropic Partners (VCPP) invites you to join us in hosting the first annual Big Give to Valley County! Due to the overwhelming interest in event, the VCPP has expanded participation to include 501(c)(3) public charities and nonprofit organizations who contribute to the overall betterment of Valley County.  


 What is The Big Give to Valley County?
The Big Give to Valley County will be a 24 hour day of giving on Thursday, March 21, 2013. It is a special day when everyone who cares about Valley County is encouraged to make a donation and show support for our local nonprofit organizations that contribute so much to our county-wide community.
 
 Why is the VCPP sponsoring this event?
The need for funding has never been greater as our nonprofits are stretched to meet current needs and carry out their work. The purpose of The Big Give is to raise awareness of the current philanthropic needs and opportunities in our countywide community, build the capacity of our local nonprofit organizations and inspire donors to support the causes that are closest to their hearts. The VCPP is working together to promote charitable giving as a unified body for the greater good of the entire county.


Current partners of the VCPP include Valley County Health System Foundation, Valley County Community Foundation Fund, Valley County Economic Development, Loup Valley Ag Society, Ord Township Library Foundation, Ord Golf Club Foundation, Ord-Arcadia TeamMates Chapter, Ord Public School Foundation and Central Community College Foundation.


How will people donate?
Donors will be able to contribute in 3 ways.
1. Donors can contribute online with a credit card by going to the Give Page at www.ordnebraska.com/Give.
2. Donors can visit Giving Stations throughout Valley County at designated times during the 24 hour period.
3.  Donors can mail a check to the organization of their choice with a postmark date of March 21, 2013.


Who can participate?
All organizations recognized as 501 (C)(3) public charities or nonprofit organizations that serve people for the greater good of Valley County are welcome to participate in this event. Registered participants will receive a toolkit to assist their organization’s promotion of this giving day. Registration deadline for Big Give to Valley County is January 25, 2013.
