It is an honor to be nominated by the Chamber businesses for these prestigious awards. Valley County would not be what it is today without the hard work and dedication of our citizens, business community, and volunteer lead organizations.

The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce and Valley County Economic Development Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at the Ord Veteran’s Club. Social hour will begin at 6:00 pm with dinner to follow at 7:00 pm. This year’s guest speaker, Barry Carlson, is sure to entertain. His talk on The Sixth Sense…The Sense of Humor will motivate, entertain, and inspire our guests. Pam Winer, President of the Atkinson Chamber of Commerce states, “Barry Carlson gave an outstanding talk entitled 'The Sixth Sense....The Sense of Humor' at our Atkinson Nebraska Annual Chamber Banquet. Four words to describe his talk are humorous, uplifting, eye opening and rewarding…The jokes were very funny and extremely clean. Barry's 'style' absolutely captivated the audience, and raised the spirits of everyone in attendance!...In fact, several chamber members told me afterwards that if they had known the talk was going to be that good, they would have purchased additional tickets and made it mandatory that their employees attend!

Everyone from the community is invited to attend the banquet to celebrate the great people and places of Valley County; however, space is limited. Tickets can be purchased at the Ord Area Chamber/Economic Development office for $30 per person or $50 per couple. Chamber and Economic Development board members also have ticket available for sale.
