Anna M. Vampola, 80 of Omaha, formerly of Ord passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 in Omaha.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013, at the Ord Memorial Chapel with Father Tom Ryan officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Family’s Choice. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Anna was born March 23, 1932, at Omaha, Nebraska to Henry and Emily (Kurz) Kraft. She spent her childhood in Omaha where she attended Immaculate Conception School and South High School.
Anna was united in marriage to John Vampola in 1952. She spent most of her life in Omaha. Anna also lived in Ord for several years, and then returned to Omaha where she resided until her passing.
Anna enjoyed Bingo, fishing, polka music, dancing, and singing. She was an avid Husker Fan. She especially enjoyed children; and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Stethem of Ord and Linda Jordan of Omaha; four grandchildren, Tammi Knutson, Tim Stethem, and Jennifer Grooms all of Ord, and David Klimiuk of Missouri; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Henry, Jim and Bob Kraft all of Omaha and two sisters, Eileen Johanek and Kathy Kraft both of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son-in-law, Roger Stethem.
