Brad Struckman, 55 of Burwell died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, as a result of a farming accident east of Elyria.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ord First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jeff Wulf officiating. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Family. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Brad was born September 11, 1954 at Ord, Nebraska to Rollin and Mary Ann (Jablonski) Struckman. He was raised on the family farmstead in Garfield County, east of Burwell. Brad attended grade school at Rosevale and graduated from Ord High School in 1972. He then attended Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE.
Brad worked in various capacities in Taylor, Lexington, Ansley and Wyoming. While in Wyoming he met Debbie Watson. The couple was united in marriage on June 27, 1987, at Casper, WY. To this union a daughter, Amanda was born.
Recently Brad was farming with his Dad, Rollin and brother, Craig and also worked at the Ericson Livestock Sale Barn.
He was a member of the AQHA. He was an avid horseman who also enjoyed farming, ranching, tractors, building things and reading.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Burwell, daughter, Amanda Struckman of Burwell; his parents, Rollin and Mary Ann Struckman of Burwell; a brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Cindy Struckman of Ord; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a niece, Kailey Struckman.
