Helen A. Valla, 79, of Comstock passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012, on her farmstead west of Ord in Valley County.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Ord Memorial Chapel with Father Mark Maresh officiating. Burial will be in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the services on Monday. Memorials are suggested to the Donor’s Choice. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Helen was born in Valley County, Nebraska on November 7, 1932, to Frank and Otlia “Tillie” (Klat) Valla. She was raised on the family farm in the Geranium Township of Valley County and graduated from Ord High School in 1951.
In her younger years Helen worked at the Valley County Hospital. She spent her entire life on the farm. Helen enjoyed caring for the cattle, fencing and cutting cedar trees.
Survivors include a host of relatives, friends and a special friend, Jerry Sobieszyk of Sargent.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
