Marvin D. Fuss, 59 of Burwell died Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Valley County Health System Hospital in Ord.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ord with Pastor Russ Troester officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Scotia. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Marvin Dean was born March 3, 1952, at Ord, Nebraska to Dean and Vernelle (Hadenfeldt) Fuss. He was raised in the Scotia area and graduated from North Loup-Scotia High School in 1970. Marvin continued his education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Concordia College in Seward.
Since the late 1970’s Marvin ranched east of Burwell. He enjoyed music and was very active as a vocalist and playing the organ and piano at local churches. Marvin was a volunteer for the Valley County Hospice.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Gail Fuss of Omaha; two nephews, Adam and Valentina Fuss and Colin Fuss and his fiancé, Aude Lochet; and one niece, Eva Fuss.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
