Mike Eldon Hulinsky, 94, of Burwell, Nebraska died June 21, 2010 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell, Nebraska. Burial will be in the Czech National Cemetery. Rev. Michael Hulinsky will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 -8 p.m. at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell. Memorials are suggested to the Burwell Fire Department.
Mike was born May 31, 1916 in Eureka Township, of Valley County, Nebraska, to Matej J. and Frances K. (Kolousek) Hulinsky. He completed his education at Komensky School District No. 49 in Valley County, Nebraska.
On November 19, 1940 Mike was united in marriage to Alice Marie (Bruha) at Burwell, Nebraska. They engaged in farming southwest of Burwell, Nebraska for 47 years before moving to Burwell, Nebraska in May of 1987. Alice died on October 15, 1998.
Mike enjoyed farming and gardening.
Mike is survived by four children; Vince Hulinsky or Burwell, Nebraska, Raymond and his wife Virginia Hulinsky of LeMars, Iowa, Lumir and his wife Connie Jean Hulinsky of Lincoln, Nebraska and Edith Burson of Grand Island, Nebraska. Sixteen grandchildren, thirty nine great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son Stanley Hulinsky, three grandchildren, two brothers, Frank W. and William and two sisters, Emma Bruha and Bessie Kovarik.
