Paul Bernard Ketchmark, 90, of Cheyenne, Wyoming died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Davis Hospice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 1:30 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greeley with Father Sid Bruggeman officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. T. J. Finn and Sons Mortuary is in Charge of arrangements.
Paul was born November 9, 1919 in Greeley County, Nebraska, to John and Donna (Hughes) Ketchmark. Paul graduated from the 8th grade and went on to attend the Civilian Conservation Corp., in South Dakota. He served his country during World War II in the European Theatre while serving in the US Army.
Paul moved to Cheyenne with his wife Maryann, she passed away in 1956. He married Dorothy May Wolfe in 1958, in Cheyenne. He was employed with the Bridge and Building Department for the UP Railroad for 34 years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a Life Member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Brotherhood of Maintenance and Way. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and vegetable gardening. He was a master gardener, and belonged to the Cheyenne Polka Club and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
He is survived by his daughter Judy Sargent, Cheyenne; a step-son, Carl Ellis, Westminster, CO; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, parents, four brothers, James, Leroy, John and Donald Ketchmark, and a sister, Julia Schmeits.
