Hunter Education Field Days Scheduled

LINCOLN, Neb. - Two field days are scheduled for people who have completed online hunter education independent study courses, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

A test at the end of each field day is the final stage before certification. There is no charge for either field day.

The first field day, for firearm hunter education participants, is July 11 at 1 p.m. at the Hunter Education Office, 4817 N. 56th St., Ste. 1, in Lincoln. Participants must call Heather Weihe at (402) 471-5662 to enroll.

The second field day, for bowhunter education participants, is Aug. 16 at 8 a.m. at Golden Arrow Archery Range, 9100 Pawnee Road, in Omaha. Participants may enroll online at: ngpc.state.ne.us/hunting/programs/education//HEClasses.asp?ClassType=bow.
