VALLEY COUNTY — Invasive phragmities have been inspected and sprayed in portions of the North Loup River in Valley County.
The reed-like plant is native to some parts of the area, but a protruding version was spotted in three places. The areas covered about 20-30 yards in length nad were ten yards deep.
The entire process was paid for by Sandhills Weed Management. The county plants to check again next August to see if the plant has spread anywhere else
