ORD — The Candy Cane Lane craft show was held this weekend in Ord. About 40 vendors loaded the Valley County Fairgrounds with everything from food to clothing to homemade gifts. Katie Davis helps organize the event and says it’s all about keeping things local.
“Probably half of the people here are local to Ord alone. Valley County, Greeley County, Sherman and I’ve got some Howard County,” she explains. “So we’re all local and we all have small businesses, we don’t have the larger businesses.”
“So yeah, by shopping here they helping out the small business person,” Davis added.
There was no shortage of attendees at the event. Patrons signed in to give the organizers an idea of where people come from. Folks signed in from twons across the state and else.
