ORD — The Valley County Board of Supervisors put the finishing touches on bid considerations for a project on a road in Valley County between Ord and North Loup.
The 811th road sits off of Route 11 near Nebraska Distillers, by Knapp Farms and the ethanol plant. The bids were from Vlach Construction and Diamond Engineering for various parts of the project.
A survey earlier this year showed the road is off its intended line and should be shifted toward the south. The plan is to have dirt work completed by May and pavement work by August. The bid to Diamond Engineering is for $187,000 and conditional on Valley County Economic Development chipping in $100,000.
The total cost to the county is about $230,000.
