LINCOLN — A Nebraska state board has proposed changes for how road construction works in Nebraska.
The hope is to ease standards that cities, counties and the state follow when rehabilitating roadways to involve less bureaucracy. For example, budgets may be able to go further with the elimination of right-of-way and other costs.
A hearing will be held next week to see if any changes need to take place before bringing the proposal to the attorney general and governor for final approval.
