ORD — The Ord City Council has approved some changes to how parking works on city streets.
First, the group changed an ordinance that extends the amount of time you can park on the side of a road from 24 hours to seven days. Law enforcement found it was hard to police the ordinance the way it worked previously.
The other change is to ban the parking of trailers, boat and campers on city streets from November 1st through March 31st.
This is due to the difficulty in plowing snow and keeping the streets wide in winter months if larger vehicles are on the side of the road.
