ORD — The Valley County Board of Supervisors renewed its interlocal agreement with Region 26 this week.
The deal with the emergency service provider is scheduled to be renewed every five years. The cost to the county for the 2015-16 budget year is $80,960.04. That’s up from 76,310.84 the year before.
In addition, the board approved their Local Emergency Operations Plan. The 408 page collection of documents details what the county and communities within it should follow in an emergency situation. That includes where people should go, how to ensure safety and more.
Region 26 is located in Taylor and serves Valley, Garfield, Greeley, Sherman, Wheeler, Loup, Blaine and Thomas Counties.
