LINCOLN — A report by the Nebraska Department of Revenue shows that tax receipts in the state were more than 1% higher than expected.
That winds up being a difference of about $5 million. The state brought in about $370 million in the month.
Net sales-and-use taxes were lower than expected, but income and miscellaneous tax receipts were higher.
Overall, Nebraska faces a projected $110 million budget shortfall in next year’s legislative session.
