ORD — The trial for Katie Felton was supposed to begin in January, but now, it’s been moved to May.
The Ord woman had nine of 11 charges of theft by unlawful taking and felony burglary filed against her dismissed in August.
At a pre-trial hearing, the defense filed, and a judge granted, the motion to move the trial to May 9th with a hearing scheduled for April 5th. In addition to this, Felton’s attorney filed a motion to suppress. This give them a chance to request that certain evidence be excluded from trial. That’s set for January 19th.
Felton was arrested last March after a joint investigation by the Valley County Sheriff’s Office and Ord Police Department into several reports of burglary in the area.
