LINCOLN — Under a proposal set to be heard next legislative session, more information will be available on certain government agencies.
This would require quasi-public agencies to submit their financial records for publication. Financial information will approve on a transparency website.
Quasi-public agencies are generally independent, but controlled by appointed boards such as the Nebraska State Fair Board.
As many as 24 agencies may be affected.
