WASHINGTON, DC — The Obama Administration says the Supreme Court should reject a lawsuit by Nebraska and Oklahoma challenging Colorado’s marijuana law.
The pair of states claim the legalization is unconstitutional. A lawyer with the justice department says the dispute over the 2012 law does not belong in high court.
The suit was filed last year stating the law is unconstitutional due to federal anti-drug laws.
They’ve also said marijuana legalization has hindered efforts to enforce anti-marijuana laws in their own stats and has caused a drain on resources.
