LINCOLN — Former Nebraska cornerback Alfonzo Dennard has been placed into a Nebraska jail for violating the terms of his probation.
Court documents show Dennard was sentenced to five days in Lancaster County for testing positive alcohol three times in the past month and skipping a drug test.
Dennard was arrested the week before the 2012 NFL Draft for punching a Lincoln police officer. He was placed on probation for third-degree felony assault.
The former Husker played three years for the New England Patriots, including winning the Super Bowl in February. He was last with the Arizona Cardinals, who cut him in July.
