NEWMAN GROVE — A social media threat led to a lockdown at Newman Grove Schools, on Wednesday.
The situation lasted from about 12:10 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. The Newman Grove Police Department and Madison County Sheriff assisted in resolving the situation.
The investigation is ongoing and not much is known about those involved in the threat. The district followed a set policy for lockdown situations.
Students returned to school later in the day and the rest of the week is set to resume as scheduled.
