LINCOLN — A couple of measures are headed for the Nebraska legislature that would life the burden on families caring for individuals in-home.
One would allow a person to purchase sick leave through the Department of Labor for up to eight consecutive weeks and up to 12 weeks for a mother who has given birth.
The second would require hospitals to give detailed instructions and demonstrations for in-home care to a designated caregiver before a patient can be discharged.
This bill is back by the Nebraska AARP.
