LINCOLN — 43rd District Senator Al Davis has introduced a bill that would grant college journalists the same freedom of speech and freedom of press rights as their professional counterparts.
This would cover mediums such as student newspapers, regardless of whether they are supported financially or not.
Davis says the bill was inspired by similar laws in other states that prevent school administrators from blocking unflattering stories.
Chadron State is part of his district.
