LINCOLN — A bill has hit the Nebraska Legislature that would ban doctors and clinics from performing abortions if they are found selling human fetal tissue.
The measure was introduced by 43rd District Senator Al Davis and would require monthly reports from abortion providers about how they disposed of each aborted fetus.
In addition, the Department of Health and Human Services will be responsible to ensure that remains are buried, cremated and incinerated in a similar way as might be done in hospitals.
