ORD — Ord students got lessons in writing this week.
Julia Cook has over one million books in print and travels all around the world to speak with students, teachers and parents about the lessons in her writing.
Jeanette Koelling and the VCHS Child Development Committee helped bring Cook to the school. “She talked to them about how to write and she just deals with so many social skills for children,” Koelling explains. “It’s exciting.”
“The kids were amazing,” adds Cook. “Very attentive, very obedient, a lot of fun.”
“They had some tremendous questions about writing and it was a great day.”
After the day at school, the students and their parents were invited to the Vintage Gym for some laughs and to learn some of the author’s tricks to parenting.
