LINCOLN — Nebraska’s Jessica Shepard has been named Big Ten Player and Freshman of the Week.
The Fremont product has five straight games of twenty points or more during the Huskers five-game winning streak. That includes becoming the first player in the history of the program to put up a 30-point and 20-rebound performance.
It’s the second time she’s earned a conference player of the week honors and the seventh time she’s been freshman of the week.
