LINCOLN — Lawmakers in Lincoln heard testimony this week on a bill that would speed up approval for wind turbines in Nebraska.
Advocates say this could mean billions of dollars in wind exports and the state should invite developers before a federal tax credit decreases next year.
Nebraska has the third-highest wind capacity of any state.
Opponents say faster approval would create more power and oversaturate the gird.
